About HT
About me and my dog • Hi, I have been taking care of my English Cocker Spaniel for the past 13 years, hence no issues in taking care of puppies and senior dogs. Establish long term future boarding plans with same trusted sitters/owners • As a pet sitter cum pet owner who put my pet dog through 2-3 weeks of boarding at least twice a year, I empathize the worries and uncertainties owners experience. • Instead of random sitters, I work towards establishing long term trust and commitment with my pet sitters and owners that we can depend on in the long run, so that all future boardings of our pets with same trusted sitter offer us that peace of mind. This should ideally spare us from the hassle of attending different meet and greet sessions, worrying about whether our pets🐶 will settle in well with new sitters/get along well with other random boarding dogs. Keeping only one dog for boarding • Your dog will not board with random dogs that they're not familiar with. • A meet and greet session for boarding pet and resident pet to interact and familiarise. • Residing in Condo near to pet's corner, dog run and beach, there will be unleashed playtime, outdoor lazing/chilling. • Photos/videos will be sent to owners daily.
Expectations of the dogs boarding • As I do not depend on the pet sitting income for a living,my availability is subjected to whether I am on vacation/on leave/work from home.
• Meet and greet sessions are likely to be on weekends.
• Booking will only be confirmed when: sitter and pet owner are both agreeable to terms agreed at meet and greet, sitter has invited owner to make booking via platform, sitter has accepted pet owner's booking via the Pawshake platform.
• In event prior to/after the meet and greet session, expectations aren't landing on same page, no one should feel uncomfortable saying "thanks but no thanks! A meet and greet session is always obligation free.
• A one day trial boarding booking is required for a new pet's first time boarding with me if the stay is more than 7 days. This is to allow sitter to observe and assess suitability of the new pet; to ensure the new pet gets along well with the resident pet.
• All dogs have to be vaccinated, neutered, house trained and on tick/flea protection.Small/medium size dogs are preferred. Usual peak period charges applies.Owners are expected to be open about their pets' medical conditions.
Boarding for senior dogs/dogs with medical issue • As an owner of a senior dog myself, I may request additional verification of owners' contact details if (a)the boarding is more than 7 days, (b) the boarding dog is a senior dog (c) boarding dog is with medical conditions, as these dogs are the most vulnerable and their interests need to be safeguarded.
