About Marc
Dogs need physical exercise and mental stimulation. For them, it comes in the form of walks and the opportunities to sniff at the environment. I'll be happy to provide these for your dogs if our schedules can align. I can also provide home visits to care for your pets. Please let me know if there are any specific areas of concern (e.g. health issues, aggression issues, or sensitivity to touches, etc)
Other than my adopted Singapore Special, I've previously owned a Chihuahua, rabbits and hamsters. I hope my following experiences can help convince you that your pets will be in good hands. :)
- volunteered at the cat and dog shelter in SPCA (duties include feeding and cleaning of kennels and providing physical exercise and mental stimulation for cats)
- volunteered as part of Team Kennel in SOSD (Save Our Street Dogs)(duties include feeding, cleaning of kennels, bathing and walking the dogs. I also help to rehabilitate street dogs to improve their chances of getting adopted)
- completed a Diploma in Canine Behaviour with ISCP (The International School for Canine Psychology and Behaviour)(modules include dog communication, behavioural analysis, positive training methods)
- adopted a Singapore Special from SOSD
- adopted a Syrian and Winter White hamster from SPCA
- completed a Skills Certificate in Pet Care at Temasek Polytechnic
Availability: I'm currently in-between jobs. So I won't be able to commit beyond 2 weeks, but will keep my calendar updated. I'm available in the mornings and afternoons.
For home visits, I can stay up to 3 hours. Miscellaneous tasks such as water of plants, administration of medication can be discussed and arranged too.
For dog walking, it would be for 30mins and done in your neighbourhood. For safety, your dog will be leashed at all times and interactions with other dogs will be avoided (unless otherwise requested).
