Background

My partner and I are huge animal lovers and have both grown up with dogs (mostly labradors) and cats. When living in London I used 'Borrow my Doggy' (a similiar concept to Pawshake) to get my pet-fix and a lot of the dogs in my photos are dogs I looked after via the app. As I travel a lot it would be unfair to commit to full-time pet ownership, so pet-sitting is the perfect antidote to this.

We moved to Singapore earlier this year and have since spent time pet-sitting for Jerry, a wonderful Japanese Spitz. He loves joining me at the office, stretching his legs on walks around Tanjong Pagar and Outram Park, as well as hanging out at the East Coast beach. I work for a dog-friendly tech start-up in Tanjong Pager, and live around the corner. Dog-sitting suits our lives especially well, since I can bring dogs to the office which means the dog would have company all day and get regular walks.

Day-to-Day

Our week-day daily routine would include breakfast and a walk to work, before getting settled into a quiet corner of the office for the day. Some breaks to pee and strech the legs over lunch and throughout the day, before going home for dinner and an evening walk.

Logistics

It's my preference to host pets at my home (a pet-friendly two bed condo, with outdoor spaces and parks nearby), but I'm also open to house-sitting if your pet is more comfortable in it's own home.
